4G -- Fourth Generation Mobile Broadband
On December 14, 2009, TeliaSonera launched 4G, the fourth generation mobile broadband, in Stockholm. This was the first step in deploying the network which in 2010 will be launched in several Swedish cities.
4G allows Stockholmers to use Internet at speeds of up to 50 Mbps, which is 10 times faster than previously possible. This opens up entirely new possibilities for companies in Stockholm as they now have a powerful internet connection also outside the office. Only imagination sets limits to how the new network will be utilized.
